Wedding Photographer Paros // Chryssie & Christopher.
Wedding Photographer Paros, the lovely bride Chryssie and her groom Christopher who live in Australia. Decided to host a destination wedding in Greece as the bride’s origins are Greek. Their wedding was a celebration not only of their love but a greater celebration of homecoming for the bride’s side as well as the unity of two families with different cultures.
The ceremony took place at a traditional blue domed chapel in Paros right next to the sparkling Aegean sea and incorporated all the local traditions from the crowning of the couple to the festive rice toss at the end of the ceremony. Custom hand stamped pouches were created with the sketch of a small Greek Chappel in blue and given to all guests filled with rice which under Greek tradition represents the new founded bond that has been created between the newlyweds.
This was followed by the cocktail hour which took place by some only ruins during sunset overlook the dazzling blue waters where the couple had fun thing photos will all their guests in this beautiful background!
The dinner and reception was held on the main square of a picturesque fishing village of Paros. Long family style tables we set for all guests and decorated with antique brass details and a mix of local foliage and herbs as the couple wanted a natural and organic look for their reception with as few flowers as possible.
Each guest’s place card was a hand tied boutonniere while the table numbers were marked on white pebbles.
The couple love reading and wanted to incorporate this in their wedding. Therefore as favors they gave all guests a Penguin Books copy of Circe and the Cyclops by Homer.
Following dinner, the couple headed for their first dance which was followed shortly after by line dancing lessons of the Greek side of the bride’s family to the rest of the guests who joined them on the dance floor!
